Man wanted in double shooting at Geisha House arrested

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- The man wanted in last weekend's double shooting that killed one woman has been arrested.

Carim Cruz, 27, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center after he was taken into custody about noon Thursday in the 500 block of South 4th Street. 

He faces nine felony charges in the death of Denna Serano and the wounding of Rasheda Lopez.

According to Richard Lambey, he and Cruz got into an altercation inside the restaurant last Saturday. The fight continued later in the parking lot. Cruz got into his Mercedes and twice fired multiple shots toward Lambey. According to police reports one of the bullets struck Serano, Lambey's longtime girlfriend, in the chest. Lopez, her cousin, was wounded in her shoulder by a bullet.

The Metro police report on the shooting indicates that Cruz was a friend of the family. It did not say what the altercation was about.

Cruz has a first court appearance scheduled for Monday He is being held without bond, and faces open murder and attempted murder as well as seven other charges.
