Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - The Toronto Maple Leafs signed forward David Booth to a one-year contract, general manager David Nonis announced on Tuesday.

Booth, who had the remaining one year and $4.75 million on his six-year contract bought out by Vancouver in June, will receive $1.1 million next season, according to The Globe and Mail.

The 29-year-old registered nine goals and 10 assists in 66 games for Vancouver last season.

The Detroit native, who was selected in the second round of 2004 NHL Draft by Florida, has tallied 113 goals and 105 assists in 443 career games with the Canucks and Panthers over eight seasons.
