LAS VEGAS -- The U.S. Marshal’s Service Task Force on Tuesday located Jesse Pineda, 21, who was wanted for the charge of attempted murder in the state of California.

Pineda was believed to be in the area of two adjacent elementary schools near the intersection of Pecos and Walnut, causing the schools to enter into a brief lockdown around 2 p.m.

The lockdown was a precautionary measure and at no time were CCSD children and staff in danger.

Detectives and Marshals took Pineda into custody several blocks away from the schools without incident. The fugitive was arrested and transported to the Clark County Detention Center to await extradition proceedings.

The U.S. Marshal Service Task Force is comprised of U.S. Marshals, Homeland Security Agents, LVMPD Detectives, Nevada Highway Patrol and Nevada Department of Investigations members.

Why is Homeland Security in this Task Force? Isn't my taxes paying for this department to capture terrorists? This is why our deficit is so high is because we are abusing resources.

oh great, they got one illegal criminal who will be back out on the street in a few days with the 10,000 others Obama is letting out. Maybe even with a full pardon.
