MESQUITE, Nev. -- Mesquite police on Wednesday arrested Brandyn Boothe, 18, of Mesquite for graffiti and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell.
The arrest ended an investigation dating back to the June 1 when Mesquite police officers received multiple reports of criminal gang graffiti being placed on public and private property throughout the City of Mesquite.
The graffiti damage has been estimated at more than $6,000.
“We have zero tolerance when it comes to graffiti in this community, and this department will continue to take swift action by bringing those responsible to justice,” said Mesquite police Chief Troy Tanner.
Chief Tanner commended patrol officers for their quick thinking and use of their investigative skills to find crucial evidence in this case which lead to the apprehension of the offender.
