LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred this morning on Blue Diamond Road just east of Cimarron.
Trooper Loy Hixson says the body of 29-year-old Las Vegas man was found along the east shoulder of Blue Diamond just found before 10 a.m. by two workers from nearby businesses.
Hixson said that there was "considerable" car debris found at the scene, but nothing that shows the color of the vehicle. The Nevada Highway Patrol is asking for the public's help from anybody who saw anything from midnight up until 10 a.m.
Hixson said it is not known whether the victim was walking on the shoulder or crossing the highway.
Blue Diamond reopened in both directions at 12:50 p.m. Eastbound lanes were closed for nearly three hours.
