Metro officers involved in Sunday's shootout identified

LAS VEGAS -- Metro has released the names of the officers involved in Sunday's shooting with the two people who killed two Metro officers and a Walmart customer.

Metro said Officers Timothy Gross, Officer Zack Beal and Officer Brett Brosnahan were inside the Walmart and were involved in a shootout with suspects Jerad and Amanda Miller.

Officer Gross is 49 years of age and has been employed with the Metro since January 1995.

Officer Beal is 25 years of age and has been employed with the Metro since July 2007.

Officer Brosnahan is 33 years of age and has been employed with the department since March 2009.

All three officers are assigned to the Patrol Division, Northeast Area Command and have been placed on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of a review of this event.
