LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- Metro police are asking the public's help to identify two men suspected for attempted murder April 24 at a convenience store on Del Rey Avenue and Santa Margarita Street.
Metro patrol officers received reports of a shooting around 4:10 p.m. April 24 and sent officers to investigate.
Patrol officers located an adult male who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to the University Medical Center Trauma Center.
The investigation initiated by Metro's Gang Crimes unit revealed just prior to the incident, the shooting victim, along with an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal confrontation with two males in the parking lot of a convenience store near Charleston Boulevard and Rainbow Boulevard.
The victims walked away from the convenience store and the other males got into a black 2000 to 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, with black and chrome rims and dark tinted windows.
The males in the Monte Carlo approached the victims again near the intersection of Del Rey Avenue and Santa Margarita Street where there was a second verbal altercation. The driver of the vehicle pulled out a gun and fired multiple rounds at the victims, striking one of them. The vehicle then left the scene.
The driver of the vehicle is described as a Hispanic male adult, 18 to 20 years of age, standing approximately 5-foot-7-inches tall, and weighing 140 to 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with black long sleeves and blue jeans.
The other male seen with the suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, 21 to 26 years of age, standing approximately 5-foot-10-inches with a medium build. This subject has tattoos under his left eye, left wrist, and right forearm. He has long hair down to the middle of his back, and was last seen wearing a black hat, purple short sleeved shirt with a picture of a shark wearing sunglasses, and black pants.
