LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- The sweeping report on Metro's use-of-force policies compiled by the Department of Justice has invoked reaction from many groups with a vested interest in the release.

The Police Protective Association will give its reaction to the report at a news conference Monday morning.

The 158-page report is a critical look at Metro's use of force policies and makes 75 recommendations to the department.

Even with the number of issues addressed --- the groups who called for the reports in first place -- the ACLU and the NAACP -- say more directives should be implemented.

They want to see the coroner's inquest return and continue, and they want to see Metro officers to start implementing cameras in patrol cars.

So far these moves don't make the union happy at all -- they've gone as far as to threaten legal action.

In an interview with Sheriff Doug Gillespie this past week, he says officers maintain their rights -- this is concerning officers giving testimony in coroner's inquest cases -- the police union is against that.
