LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- The two men accused of posing as Mormon missionaries to assault and rob a man in his home are scheduled for another court hearing this morning at the Regional Justice Center.
Robert Estall and Abraham Austin face several charges, including burglary, robbery with a deadly weapon and first-degree kidnapping.
Police said the suspects knocked on the victim's door about 6:20 a.m. June 27 and asked to speak to him about religion.
The victim spoke to them for approximately five minutes and was then jumped and punched by the suspects. The suspects demanded property from the victim while holding him at gunpoint. Once receiving property from the victim, the suspects fled.
Judge Janiece Marshall set bail at $380,000 at their last hearing Aug. 30, citing the violent nature of the crime and the fact the victim’s wife and 15-year-old child were in the house at the time.
