LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon in the southeast part of the valley.
According to Metro, a 2014 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Russell Road approaching the intersection with Lamb Boulevard at 2:38 p.m.
A 2013 Chevrolet Equinox was making a left turn from westbound Russell Road onto southbound Lamb Boulevard.
The Chevrolet was struck by the Yamaha, operated by a 25-year-old male. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as Marques Alfred, 73, of Las Vegas, was transported to Sunrise Hospital by ambulance.
This is the 50th traffic related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction.
