NDOT spends $3M on unopened rest area

LAS VEGAS (KSVN & MyNews3) -- While most of the Nevada Department of Transportation's funding goes to roads and highways.

The money is also used for roadside extras. Tom Hawley has more information and tells us nearly $3 million has gone into a rest stop near the southern tip of the state and some are wondering if it's money well spent.

There are two issues here. First, the whole concept of new rest stops and then problems with this one in particular.
