LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- It's down to the wire in North Las Vegas where city leaders need to strike a deal with unions. They have 24-hours before the axe comes down on contracts.

What you're seeing here in this video is a ballot count. The teamsters union conducted a re-vote *today to see if the union wanted to make any concessions.

The decision is in and News 3's Mackenzie Warren has the results.

City of North Las Vegas has dealt with the unions long enough, its time for action. The unions have known for three years that the city had been operating at a deficit and it was inevitable that layoffs are needed. Its too bad that unions don't understand that its better to have a job. Unions are always concerned about one thing, they own finances. Unions do not care about their members, because the bottom line is money. Unions have billions of dollars, but yet it never seems to be enough, with every raise union dues go up. Members are better off negotiating and representing themselves, its saves them tons of money and the city. Where do you think union dues really come from.

What Mr. Griffith failed to tell you Mackanzie is that the Teamster Leadership tried to ramrod their OWN union members.  They never went back to the table as Mr. Griffith said he would do during the last City Council meeting.  He only submitted the Same concession package that was voted down a couple weeks ago.  I agee that Mr. Griffith doesnt know what the members want to give up because he never asked the members what concessions they are willing to give because they are willing to give up.   Just As with the other unions Mr. Hacker does not want to negiotiate, he has a take it or leave it attitude. The Teamsters have given up the MOST of all the bargaining units in money and jobs, which Mr. Hacker has even stated in his resolution that will be voted on this Friday.
