NORTH LAS VEGAS -- A North Las Vegas man is dead following an altercation in his home.

Officers responded to an apartment on the 2400 block of Webster Street on Monday at about 12:50 p.m., responding to reports of a man found dead in his home.

When officers arrived, they found the 54-year-old resident lying on the floor of his apartment with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds.

According to the police report, there may have been a struggle in the man’s home just prior to his death. Detectives are following leads in the case, but no arrests have been made at this time.

The coroner’s office will release the man’s identification and official cause and manner of death.

This is the first homicide in North Las Vegas this year.

Anyone with additional information regarding this case is urged to call the North Las Vegas Police Department at (702) 633-9111 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
