And actually, I am a scientist. A chemist. Who are you? Ah, yes, a VICTIM. In reality, I have subsidized your smart meter. Wake up and pay attention, because you are losing your freedoms every day. Do you happen to be one of the 47% who pay no federal income tax? I pay for roads, my mortgage, and I subsidize deadbeats every day. People like you, Victim, who think you are subsidizing people like me, are uninformed by choice.

Hey, Bozo. Do you have a smart meter? If so, check your power bill. Yes, you are paying NVE a Basic Service Charge of $10/month for METER READING. Which, if you have a smart meter, is a service you are not receiving. Don't knock me--tell NVE they should give you a discount. BTW, Federal tax dollars, in the form of "stimulus" money, were GIVEN to NVE in the amount of $139 million. Cost of Smart Meter project? $307 million. Where are they planning on getting the other $168 million? That's right, from YOU, and me, and all other rate payers. You are paying for meter readers to read your meter. They are not doing that, if you have a smart meter. I pay the same $10/month you do, for the service. Try reading the dockets, and the order. Or are you too busy watching "Dancing With the Stars?" Show up once in a while to a public meeting. Don't be a drone!

I COSTS money to send an employee out to read a meter, a job that can be done electronically for next to nothing. If you don't want to live in the 21st century based on something you read on the internet, YOU PAY for it. . Where did you Wendy Ellis get her degree in electromagnetism? . NV Energy is not going to raise rates on the rest of us so she can have an antique; the banks are not going to cut us a break on financing. I drive a car; do I have to subsidize her horse and buggy too?
