One east Las Vegas neighborhood was bombarded with flooding and mud overnight. Neighbors say the more they clean, the more they want answers. News 3's Sandra Gonzalez and Christine Kim report.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- Mud was everywhere along Christy Lane near Starridge Way after storms moved through Las Vegas. Heavy waters washed up mixed with dirt and muddy water flooded the streets, getting into cars and nearly into homes in East Las Vegas.

Neighbors like Paul Gagnon were upset. He says he got a knock on his door late Thursday night around ten o’clock.

“It was up here in the driveway and the water went all the way up to our sidewalk,” Gagnon said as he points near his house entry way.

His truck took in muddy water too. He’s not sure how much that affected his vehicle. But Gagnon is frustrated by the intensity of the rising water with this storm and all the mess it caused now that a beautification project was finished with a walking trail along the Flamingo Arroyo and Desert Rose Golf Course.

“We've never in 3 years have had this kind of flood before until they started doing that beautification,” Gagnon said.

Neighbors all along the street were out with their hoses trying to wash the muddy mess off their driveways and sidewalks. The thick light chocolate colored gunk was all over the street along with lots of brown water where children played, and cars carefully or not so carefully drove through.

This mud and flood makes Justin Simonson upset.

“This is the worst I've ever seen it, absolutely the worst I’ve ever seen it,” Simonson said, “You know something's got to be done so we're not doing this every time. I'm mad because they're not finishing the arroyo, and I'm mad because my neighbors are doing this kind of stuff because they (Clark County) want to spend money on making it pretty before they make it right.”

News 3 has made efforts to reach Clark County. We are still waiting to connect with officials on this story.
