LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- “Surf the Musical” came in to Las Vegas like a wave on the ocean.

Let us know: Email ideas of people you think are Nevada Proud. Tell us how they are working to make Nevada and the world a better place. Send them to nevadaproud@mynews3.com.
It made a splash and, before drifting back in to the sea, threw itself like a blanket of help in to the lives of Clark County high school students.

Meet Pilita Danesh from the Postively Arts Foundation and Eldorado High School teacher Gianna Imbriani. They share a common goal: getting arts into the community.

And to that end, Danesh and Imbriani brought theatre students to the Planet Hollywood Theatre to work with real-life actors for a day.

In the face of such a need, Danesh and Imbriani can't imagine why funding for arts education dwindles each year.

Students got a place to go to because of the actors of “Surf,” and those who are "Nevada Proud" to make it happen.
