Nevada Republicans defend NRA decision to host gun class

LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- Nevada Republicans are defending the NRA's plan for closed-door gun classes designed to show lawmakers, what it calls, the legitimate value of assault weapons.

Yesterday a Democratic lawmaker called the timing insensitive coming less than a month after the school massacre in Newtown, Conn.

But News 3's Marissa Mike reports, some Republicans say this is the perfect time to start talking about guns.
