A local non-profit has launched a program that will help modify the homes of disabled senior citizens.Nevada Senior Services
, which is dedicated to providing the local senior community with a variety of important services, began its new ramp program on Saturday. It provides home modifications for disabled seniors.
Gerald Valovic, 61, was severely injured after falling from his roof in January and is now confined to a wheelchair.
Volunteers from Lowe’s Heroes Program
and members of Nevada Senior Services worked to build him a brand new ramp.
The ramp program is made possible through a grant provided by the aging and disabilities services. Lowe’s Heroes provided the volunteers and materials.
