LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – Five people were displaced this morning after a fire in the 800 block of North Lamb Boulevard.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue says crews responded just after 4:20 a.m. to Millenium Mobile Home, and found a fire in a double-wide mobile home. Two adults and three children inside the mobile home when the fire started escaped without injury.

Firefighters had the fire extinguished in less than 10 minutes and were able to confine the fire to the one unit.

Investigators believe the fire started outside the home in a trash can area. It then spread up the outside of the mobile home and entered the attic area through the eaves. What caused the trash to catch fire could not be determined.

Damage was estimated at $50,000.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family of five. There were no reported injuries during the incident.
