LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- The Clark County Coroner's office has identified the woman stabbed to death in North Las Vegas over the weekend as 44-year-old Rosaura A. Banuet.
The coroner has determined the cause of death due to
multiple sharp force injuries and the the death has been ruled a homicide According to North Las Vegas police, the suspect in the stabbing is
Alberto Gutierrez, 47, who is the victim's husband. Gutierrez is being sought for questioning.
Officer Chrissie Coon said that Banuet was stabbed in a home in the 5100 block of Blue Rose, near Washburn Road and Lawrence Street and died while en route to UMC Trauma.
Coon said that several other children were home at the time of the stabbing, but none were injured.
They are now in the care of family members.
