LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- With teens having the week off, it could be the perfect time to jump on a summer job

News 3's Krystal Allan has a quick look at whether there's a better chance of landing one this summer.

The fact remains that unemployment for teens has been hovering around 20 percent for the past three years. But, there are some areas where teens might have a pretty good shot. One example is summer lifeguards. Clark County alone is still looking to fill about 200 spots.

The American Red Cross, which offers certification, also points to resorts needing lifeguards. Teens like Owen Stewart are ready to dive into these summer job opportunities.
