LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – President Barack Obama delivered remarks today at Desert Pines High School, beginning at 6:40 p.m.

Obama encouraged Nevadans to register to vote by the Oct. 6 online voter registration deadline and to start voting on Oct. 20, the date early voting begins in Nevada.

In his speech, Obama discussed the choice in this election between two fundamentally different visions of how to grow the economy, create middle-class jobs and restore middle-class economic security.

The speech was the president’s ninth appearance this year in Nevada. He is scheduled to remain in the Las Vegas area to prepare for his debate against GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney on Wednesday night in Colorado.
