LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) --
One person was killed and three others were wounded early Sunday after a fight at a party turned into a shooting.
Metro detectives are seeking the public's help in finding the suspects.
At 5 a.m., Metro received a 911 call about multiple persons shot in a parking lot on North Rancho Drive.
Arriving officers and medical personnel located four victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Three of the victims were transported to the UMC Trauma Center where they were treated. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation initiated by Metro's homicide section indicated the victims were at a party in the 3300 block of Corona Del Mar Drive when they were involved in a verbal altercation, which later turned physical. After the fight broke up, the victims got into their vehicle and left the area.
As the victims drove to the intersection of Jones Boulevard and Miracosta Avenue, a white four door, possible Honda Civic, pulled up alongside the victims' vehicle. The front passenger of the suspect vehicle pulled out a handgun and fired into the victims' vehicle, striking four passengers.
The suspects fled and the victims drove to a convenience store, where they contacted police.
It is unknown if the suspects who were involved in the shooting are the same subjects involved in the confrontation at the party.
Detectives believe there may be several people who witnessed the altercation at the party, and they are asking for assistance in identifying the suspects, as well as the subjects involved in the original confrontation with the victims.
The identity of the deceased, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
The shooting was the 72nd homicide investigated by Metro in 2014.
