LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- Metro police are seeking suspects in an overnight shooting at a party at an apartment on East Reno Avenue that left one man dead and another injured.

In a news release issued late this morning, Metro said the shooting occurred about 1:30 a.m. in an apartment complex in the 1400 block of East Reno Avenue near Tropicana Avenue and South Maryland Parkway.

When officers arrived they found a man on the ground in the complex dead from an apparent gunshot wound. Another man was suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound and was transported to Sunrise Trauma Medical Center.

The preliminary investigation by homicide detectives indicated the victims were attending a party in an apartment when a fight broke out. Those at the party exited the apartment when multiple gunshots were fired.

Homicide detectives have not identified suspects in the shooting. The investigation is ongoing. Anybody with information is asked to contact the LVMPD homicide section at 828-3521 or, to retain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or www.crimestoppersofnv.com.

The identity and cause of death of the deceased victim will be released by the Clark County coroner's office.
