LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A 26-year-old man who was crossing Flamingo Road outside of a crosswalk on Saturday evening has become the 20th traffic fatality this year in Metro's jurisdiction.
James Spagnoli of Las Vegas was crossing Flamingo from south to north about 355 feet west of Riley Street when he was struck by a 2006 Ford Freestar in the eastbound travel lanes.
The driver of the van minivan was Eddie Garcia, 33, of Las Vegas.
The accident remains under investigation by Metro's accident investigation section.
