Pedestrian critical, another hurt when hit by car while near a crosswalk

LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- Two pedestrians were injured Saturday night, one critically, when they were hit by a vehicle while just outside of a crosswalk on the west side.

Metro said the accident occurred at 10:51 p.m. on West Sahara Avenue, 10 feet east of Arville Street.

Steven Marks, 46, was critically injured when he was struck by a 1996 Ford Taurus driven by 22-year-old Kiana Zamora. He was crossing the street with Elizabeth Evan, 48, who suffered moderate injuries. Zamora was not injured.

Both pedestrians were taken to UMC Trauma.

Metro said it is continuing its investigation.
