LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – Las Vegas Metro police detectives have arrested Darnell Williams, 19, and a male juvenile in connection to a stabbing Wednesday morning at an apartment complex in the area of Karen and Maryland Parkway.

Police say they received a call at 8:47 a.m. Wednesday from a female reporting she was beaten during a confrontation. One victim was sent to Sunrise; the other to UMC. Police say neither are life-threatening injuries.

Officers arrived at the 1500 block of Karen Ave. and located the female victim as well as two males who appeared to be suffering stab wounds.

A preliminary investigation indicates the female victim was battered by two males outside her apartment. The female retreated to her apartment where the suspects followed and continued to beat her.

The confrontation alerted the victim’s friend who came to her aid. As a result of the confrontation, one of the suspects and the victim’s friend sustained stab wounds. The friend was transported to UMC Trauma where he was treated for minor injuries.

The suspects were identified as 19-year-old Williams and a 15 year-old male juvenile.

Williams was transported to Sunrise Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and released. He was booked at the Clark County Detention Center where he faces charges of Burglary, Battery and Child Abuse.
