LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- Police are investigating a body found in the Pacific Harbors Apartment complex near Nellis Blvd. and E. Vegas Valley Dr. Friday morning.
After responding to a call reporting blood on a stairwell at 2:35 a.m. this morning, police found the body of a woman in the bushes underneath the stairs.
Police are calling the death a homicide, saying in that the body appeared to have been killed by blunt force trauma. An official cause of death has not been released.
Police are searching for the woman's boyfriend, Jose Antonio Rodriguez, as a person of interest in the case. Rodriquez is described as being a Latin male adult, 29 years of age, 5'8 inches and a 140 pounds and is believed to still be in the Las Vegas area.
Police have not released the identity of the victim.
