Preliminary report expected on deadly Boulder City plane crash

BOULDER CITY (KSNV MyNews3) – The small jet that went down near the Boulder City Airport and killed two people Friday has been removed from the crash scene.

The National Transportation Safety Board will issue a preliminary report this week on the crash of the Aero Vodochody L39.

The pilot was Douglas Gilliss, 65, of Solano Beach, Calif. He was a well-known ground instructor. His passenger was Richard Winslow, 66, of Palm Desert, Calif.
