Renton, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Seattle Seahawks cut quarterback Terrelle Pryor before Saturday's NFL deadline to reduce rosters to 53 players.
The Seahawks also terminated the contract of veteran offensive tackle Eric Winston, who they signed this offseason.
Pryor was acquired from the Oakland Raiders in April but joined a roster with two other mobile quarterbacks, Russell Wilson and Tarvaris Jackson.
He completed 53.8 percent of this throws and passed for 281 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions in Seattle's four preseason games.
Pryor was one of 20 players who were cut by the Seahawks. Defensive tackle D'Anthony Smith was place on injured reserve and cornerback Phillip Adams also had his contract terminated.
Winston, 30, hasn't missed a game since his rookie season for Houston in 2006. He is the president of the NFL players union.
