I also agree with term! Take the federal gov't out of the education system! It has gotten worse since they have taken over. History in books are wrong and teachers have to make corrections in school books, even math books, if thier smart enough. Too many gov't employees trying to interfere and make changes in the school books. And why are thery always replacing the books and running the costs up!!! They keep a good part of our tax money to pay these people who are screwing our kids up with programs that should not be in schools!!!! You would be surprised what schools are shoving down your'e childrens throats!!!!! Because of the federal gov't, especially some of the stuff that obama has had them add. There was just a article a week or so ago I read that If my children were still going to school I would be down there raising holy h%$$!!!!!

As a former student of Clark County, I want to say. I had to deal with bullying, and crime ( my locker broken into several times). I never had lunch because my parents were broke, and there were no free school lunches. Many times I went to my counselor for help. Never got help. In the ninth grade, I excelled in the proficiency exams. All A's my first semester. By, the time I was a senior, I had been beat up twice, depressed, failing. And, was expelled for truancy. Ya, you go to school with the bus drivers who don't wait for you, kids who bully you, counselors who can't recognize a suffering student.

How about just admitting that governmental politically run schools are a failure. Stop taxing us and forcing us to fund these ridiculous schools. Let parents decide how to spend their money, and allow private schools to be available . Government cant run anything really, let alone schools.

Instead of going after only homeowners, Nevada should pass a $10 fee on every citizen of Nevada to fund school building projects across the state. Its not fair to isolate one segment of the population, especially when many households do not even have children attending schools across the state.
