Update: This is an update on a story from Thursday regarding civil allegations against the CEO of Realty One Group, Kuba Jewgienew.

As part of that story, we interviewed an official with the Nevada Division of Real Estate, who said if the CEO had his broker’s license suspended or taken away, the agents working for him would have to reapply for their own license under a new broker.

Today, the Nevada Department of Business and Industry updated the initial information given to News 3 by the Division of Real Estate.

They informed us that Jewgienew has changed his status from broker to “broker/salesperson.”

That means, according to the state spokesperson, that even if CEO Jewgienew loses his license, the other agents will not lose theirs.

It also should be pointed out that the civil allegations involve only Jewgienew and no other agent of Reality One.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -
- Kuba Jewgieniew is CEO of one of the hottest realty businesses in the country. Realty One has offices in Arizona, California, and right here in Nevada.

But it’s what he allegedly did inside one of those offices that could land him in a courtroom. Graphic, violent charges have been described in civil court documents.

Could Kuba Jewgienew have tortured and abused a coworker for years? That’s what Danielle Potter, a contractor who used to work for him, says happened.
The abuse she claims is shocking. Potter says that the abuse began in September of 2011 and grew increasingly violent until November 2012 when, after a business dinner, Jewgienew threw her on a desk, ripped her pants off, abused and raped her.

According to court documents, later that month she worried she contracted an STD, but when she confronted him he said “Don't threaten me. I don’t care if you get an infection. I don't even care if you get pregnant. You will have an abortion. I can’t have you waddling around the office for nine months. Keep your mouth shut."

Potter also alleges Kuba competed unlawfully and may have changed documentation and circumvented tax laws.

Realty One denies the abuse happened, saying in email, "Realty One group is committed to providing a workplace free of harassment and discrimination. We are confident that the facts of the case will reveal that these allegations are completely without merit.”

While the future of the civil suit is still in the air, so too is Jewgienew's career. The state tells us they are monitoring the case, and will investigate. The state could pull his license if warranted.

If Jewgieniew’s license is suspended, then all 1600 realtors under him will also have their licenses suspended until they reapply with a new broker.
