LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- The man who local police say hit a bus stop on Spring Mountain and Decatur, killing four people, made his first court appearance today.

Gary Lee Hosey Jr. is facing four counts of DUI causing death.

In a packed courtroom this morning, the 23-year-old Hosey was brought out in shackles and his arm in a sling.

His arraignment was delayed until Friday after Clark County prosecutors said they hadn't yet filed charges against Hosey.

They said they were awaiting blood test results and other medical reports.

Police say Hosey was driving upward of 100 mph Thursday morning when he lost control of his car and barrel rolled over a bus stop full of people.

Four were killed instantly; three others -- and his four passengers -- were rushed to area hospitals.

According to the police report released today, Hosey said to police that he had a beer at a nearby bar and says he was rushing to get home in time for his girlfriend to get to work.

It was her car that he was driving.

The police report said Hosey's breathlyzer test showed his blood alcohol level was over the legal limit of .08, but it does not specify how high it was.

Several of Hosey's family members were present at his hearing today. Afterward, they wouldn't talk to us on camera but did have a message for the families of the victims.

"We just want the families of the victim's to know we are so sorry for their loss and our hearts go out to them," said Lechtrianna Hosey, Gary’s mother.

Hosey's aunt, Mary Simpson, who came out from California, said to News 3, "Gary is a good kid; he's an honest boy."

Hosey's arraignment was rescheduled for 7:30 a.m. Friday.

His attorney asked that he be released because no charges had been filed yet but Judge Conrad Hafen denied the request.

Hosey is being held without bail.
