LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- Hundreds of thousands will begin making their way to Las Vegas this week for this year's Electric Daisy Carnival.

It's an event that is not without some concern. In 2010 in Los Angeles, a 16-year-old girl got into the festival, collapsed and died. This past week, lawyers announced a $190,000 settlement with the girl's family.

Last year was the first year for the event in Las Vegas, and it went off without a hitch.

Tickets for the events are sold out, and rooms on the strip are hard to come by despite the event being at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Some economists say the event will bring in $200 million for the Las Vegas economy and many excited people.
