LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- Thousands of accidents occur in the United States every year because of dangerous road debris.

We're talking about mattresses, tires, ladders and anything that falls off a vehicle while it's moving.

News-3's Tom Hawley has been looking into the problem and joins us with the story.

How drivers prepare for these unexpected items is key as well as how they prepare their own vehicles to haul goods. Many valley drivers may be putting themselves and others in harm's way.
