LAS VEGAS – The Salvation Army of Clark County announced today it is shutting down several programs at its Owens Campus serving Homeless and Mental Health clients.

"These programs have been sustaining large operating deficits for the last several years, and we simply cannot continue to fill the gaps in funding." said Maj. Rhonda Lloyd, Director of Special Services. "The Salvation Army is making every effort to place existing clients with other programs in the area."

Despite these specific closures, The Salvation Army will continue to operate other life-changing programs on the Lied Social Services Campus such as Vocational Training, Homeless Feeding and Shelter, along with numerous other services provided throughout Southern Nevada.

"We will continue to serve those hopeless and hurting while we refocus and reorganize our programs to provide the most effective assistance possible within our resources,” Lloyd said.

The Salvation Army wishes to thank its' faithful donors and encourage others to come along side us during these trying economic times in Doing the Most Good for those less fortunate amongst us. Your partnership is the key to our ability to serve those in need.
