LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – About 1,000 Clark County teachers are a day away from finding out if they'll have jobs next year.
Wednesday is the day the Clark County School District expects to learn the arbitrator's decision on a contract dispute between the district and the teachers union.
Both sides submitted new offers several weeks ago.
The district wants teachers to take pay freezes for the next two years.
If the arbitrator rules against that, the district says they will need to lay off about a thousand teachers to fill a $64 million budget hole.
