LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- Three months after a local expecting mother was told her baby was no longer alive, she and her husband are still waiting for their daughter's remains.

Jessica and Andrew Kirchner were told she couldn't conceive, but she did. However, the couple found out during a doctor’s appointment Oct. 29 that their 28-week-old baby, Evelyn, was gone.

But they say that was when the nightmare began.

The couple says it started with a wrong phone number that was not corrected on paperwork.

It created a ripple effect and a delay in getting Evelyn’s body, and through it all, they say Evelyn remains in a county morgue.

Spring Valley Hospital admits there was a clerical error and has offered to pay for the cremations services.
