LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- No rest for police this labor day when a standoff ends with the arrest of a suspect in north east Las Vegas. News 3’s Elizabeth Donatelli is at the scene with more information.
The man is now in custody after barricading himself inside a home in the area of Pecos and Carey and holding police at bay for five hours.
Police say he shot his sister-in-law and threatened to commit suicide.
Police sent in a canine unit to drag him out. Neighbors tell news 3 the suspect is suffering from a brain tumor.
