LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- A man is in custody this morning after an incident involving a juvenile at a bus stop near Arville and Pennwood.
Metro police at around 8:36 a.m. received calls concerning a suspect who had grabbed small children at a bus stop.
The suspect was said to have approached two juvenile females, grabbed them and attempted to remove articles of their clothing.
Nearby parents and guardians intervened and attempted to detain the suspect. After a brief altercation the suspect ran away.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Sirius and Castlewood Drive where the incident occurred and were given an accurate description of the suspect and where he was last seen.
Officers located the subject who is now known as 20-year-old Abdul Munem Jumaalkam. Jumaalkam was taken into custody without further incident, arrested and transported to Clark County Detention Center where he was booked for one count of lewdness with a minor under 14.
According to Metro, a man tried to pull down the pants of the juvenile. The parents were nearby and they tried to capture the man.
