LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a man suspected of robbery at a business near the 6100 block of Vegas Drive.
According to a Metro release, the suspect purchased a beer around 10:10 p.m. Dec. 18 and exited the business. A short time later, the suspect returned and claimed he wanted to exchange the beer for a different type beer.
As the employee was completing the transaction, the suspect dove over the counter and grabbed the whole cash register. A struggle ensued over the cash register, and the suspect eventually overpowered the employee.
The suspect fled the business with the cash register which contained an undisclosed amount of money. The employee suffered an injury during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a black male adult, 5-foot-10 to 6-0, weighing about 160 to 180 pounds, between the ages of 35 and 45, black hair, wearing a winter bomber hat, gray jacket, black pants, black glove on left hand, and black/white shoes.
