LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – Two people have been arrested in relation to a string of motorcycle saddlebag thefts from nearly two dozen cycles along the Las Vegas Strip.
Gino Stewart, 24, and Raymond Garcia, 23, both of Las Vegas, face several charges of grand larceny, possession of stolen property, and other charges.
The investigation began with the report of a single incident of theft, and culminated with officers serving a search warrant at a residence shared by the suspects.
Recovered at the residence were 10 sets of saddlebags valued at between $1,000 and $1,500 per set. Also recovered were various items of personal property which was inside of the fiberglass saddlebags at the time of they were stolen.
During the investigation LVMPD Detectives worked closely with security teams from several strip hotels and casinos.
The incidents under investigation occurred between Aug. 29 and Sept. 17. Investigators are continuing their probe into this series of thefts, and believe other individuals may have been victimized by these suspects.
