LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- Three people escaped a house fire on the east side of the valley that caused an estimated $75,000 in damage Sunday afternoon.

The Clark County Fire Department responded at 2:52 p.m. to 3837 Syracuse Ave., near East Tropicana & East Harmon, for multiple 911 calls about a home on fire.

The first engine on scene reported a heavy volume of fire from the back and side of the single-story home. The fire was declared under control at 3:09.

There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

Assistant Chief Erik A. Newman said in a release that the fire is being investigated by the Clark County Fire Department Investigations Division.

The occupants were offered assistance from the American Red Cross, but they had family in the area and did not require it.
