Time change reminder to check smoke detectors

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- This year, the Clark County Fire Department has already responded to 2,878 fire incidents.

Local fire officials say Daylight Saving Time is the perfect opportunity to take some extra precautions, like switching out the batteries in your smoke detectors.

Fire officials say another good reminder could come from your detector itself. The chirping sound many detectors make is a not-so-friendly reminder to change the batteries.
