To highlight the recent $1 million sponsorship provided by the Sands Foundation -- the charitable arm of LVS -- the Children's Museum will be offering a discounted admission rate to all Sands team members.
International Museum Day also coincides with Armed Forces Day, which provides further opportunity for both organizations to engage with the Las Vegas community. To honor this occasion, all active duty and retired
members of the United States military will receive free admission, sponsored by Las Vegas Sands, for themselves and one child at DISCOVERY Children's Museum.
"It is such a pleasure for us to give back to the Las Vegas community, and to do so in alliance with one of the city's newest and most valuable children's resource," said LVS President and COO Mike Leven. "We are looking forward to many more occasions to applaud the hard work of our Sands team and the all-too-often unsung heroes of our nation's military."
Through its corporate social responsibility initiatives, Las Vegas Sands has a long standing dedication to both the communities in which it does business, as well as the courageous men and women of the United States
military. This Saturday's observances offer a unique opportunity to celebrate each of these commitments with the Las Vegas community and LVS Team Members.
"We are so thankful for the support Las Vegas Sands has provided the museum," said Linda Quinn, CEO of DISCOVERY Children Museum. "It is an honor for us to celebrate both of these occasions with LVS, its Team
Members, and the members of the armed forces in the Las Vegas community."
