LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Police say an officer shot and killed a man after his car collided with a patrol cruiser at a condominium complex in northwest Las Vegas.
The shooting happened after police were called about 11:30 p.m. Sunday to a report of a break-in at the Alondra condominiums near Rainbow Boulevard and Smoke Ranch Road.
Police say at least one officer opened fire after the man used his vehicle to ram a police car.
The names of the dead man and the officers at the scene weren't immediately made public.
The slaying was the 12th by Las Vegas police this year.
