Street Smarts: When can your child walk to school alone?

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- Children across the valley pack their backpacks and prepare to walk to school. 

But how old should they be in order to make the trek safely? Experts say many kids aren't ready until they're 10. However, there are no Nevada laws that govern in this area; it's an individual decision.

This article says at 10 years old....I don't think so....NO KIDS are safe on our street anywhere in this country. Even adults are not safe from being taken.
