LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- Day two of the Governor's Conference on Tourism was supposed to feature Gov. Brian Sandoval, but the governor had to cancel at the last minute.

Gov. Sandoval fell victim to this cold winter weather. He was expected to fly out to Las Vegas this morning but his flight was cancelled because of the snow that fell up north.

Although the governor was absent, the show had to go on,

Part of the conference focused on Wednesday focused on Nevada’s 150th birthday celebration which is next year.

The governor formed a committee to take on the responsibility of celebrating the milestone throughout the state.

There will be events going on most of next year.
