LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- Two pedestrians were injured early Sunday when an SUV driven by a 22-year-old woman apparently under the influence drove onto a sidewalk on Decatur Boulevard.

Metro said the accident happened at about 1:30 a.m., when Concepcion Castaneda drove a 2003 Toyota Sequoia northbound on Decatur and veered onto the sidewalk, striking two pedestrians just south of Concord Village Drive (near West Lake Mead Drive).

A 26-year-old man was taken to UMC Trauma in serious condition, and a 17-year-old man suffered minor injuries and was transported to UMC.

Concepcion was not injured. Metro's accident report said she initially fled the scene but later returned. She was taken into custody and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for felony DUI and felony hit and run charges.

The accident remains under investigation.
