Woman dies after ambulance, truck collide; 5 in hospital

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – A woman in an ambulance that was involved in a two-vehicle accident this morning has died, according to the North Las Vegas Fire Department.

The woman was being transported to Mountain View when the Medic West ambulance collided with a pickup truck at West Craig Road and North Decatur Boulevard.

Two North Las Vegas firefighters and two Medic West personnel were transported to UMC Trauma in stable condition. A female passenger in the truck was transported to UMC in serious condition.

All traffic headed North on Decatur is being directed East on Craig Road, and all traffic headed East on Craig Road is being directed South on Decatur. Everyone is advised to avoid this area for the next several hours while the accident is under investigation.
